Majdanek is the site of a former Nazi concentration camp, comparable to Auschwitz. This triennale is open for two dimensional works in any form of graphic art, prints, drawings or photography made between 1994 and 1996. Submissions should be compatible with the general ideal of the exhibition: 'to promote education based on the ideas of peace and on the coexistence of cultures and to propound internationaldialogue ...' The State Museum at Majdanek houses a collection chosen from the fourprevious exhibitions. Up to four works may be submitted, not larger than 100 x 70 cm. The 4th International Biannual of Easel Graphics Kaliningrad-Konigsberg
'96', 15 Sept. - 31 Oct. 1996.

This is an enormous selected exhibition of recent prints and water-based paintings on paper by artists from all parts of the former Soviet Union. 'International' in the title refers to the now independent states of the CIS. There will be a conference on the current state of fine-art printmaking at the start of the Biennale.
