Live and work in the heart of Renaissance
Florence at a noted international art workshop on the Arno River's
"Left Bank." Color monotype, monoprint, drypoint and chine
collè, and enjoy virtually unlimited attendance at most major
Florence museums. Hands-on instruction, concentrated studio work,
personal feedback, stimulating discourse and camaraderie. All levels.
Health-conscious habits highlighted. 2 weeks 6/11-6/25: $1,500 with
last-minute discount; optional guided walking tours.
Includes workshop tuition, welcome meal, and many supplies. 80 euro
monitored-lab fee paid in Florence.Optional pre-class walking tour

Summer
class:
August 1 - August 5,
2008.Direct
and expressive, monotype joins the radiant qualities of prints with
the spontaneity of painting including the beauty of watercolor washes.
Monoprint allows for a repeatable element combined with one-of-a-kind
effects. Goodman demonstrates her image-making methods with black
and color ink, ink modifiers, various drawing, painting and print
tools, paper handling, single-and multi-pass printing procedures,
and chine colle.If participants choose to work in monoprint, drypoint
will be explored in combination with monotype. The latest waterbased
inks will be used.
